How It Works

Clean Start Diaper Service provides sanitized prefolded cotton diapers (OsoCozy ® ) that we will deliver to your, home or you can pick up 2 weeks prior to your due date. If the baby happens to arrive earlier than you expected, call us and we’ll come sooner.

When the baby arrives, please call to set up a delivery or pick up schedule. We will put you on a weekly delivery route based on zip code. Please be sure to have your diapers out in the morning, as our driver will be coming early. We deliver your diapers in a waterproof, fabric bag. Take the clean diapers out and use the bag in your pail to collect the soiled diapers. Before putting the soiled bag outside, be sure to secure it by wrapping the string around the neck of the bag.

On your first and second deliveries you will receive the weekly number of diapers that you ordered. After that, you will be on a rotation basis. The number of soiled diapers you turn in on your first delivery will be counted and returned to you on the next delivery. This way we will also have the same number in your rotation. See the sample rotation to the right.

In an effort to go as paperless as possible, Clean Start Diaper encourages you to pay by debit or credit card. We can set you up on an automatic monthly billing schedule OR you can call it in. Billing cycles are every 4 weeks depending on when you started your service. Your first 4 weeks’ payment is due upon signing of the contract and is non-refundable.

We ask that you do not put any disposable items into our bags. This includes diapers, wipes and plastic travel sacks. We also ask that you shake off any excess stool into the toilet. No need to soak, or rinse and please don’t dunk it in the toilet (this can lead to mildew!). If it doesn’t all come off that’s alright. By doing this, you will eliminate excess odor in your house and overall our diapers will be in better condition for our customers. In addition, we ask that you do not use Desitin, A&D Ointment or other diaper creams containing cod liver oil or Zinc oxide. This results in staining and damage to the diapers. The following is a list of cloth-diaper friendly diaper creams:

- CJs BUTTer
- Baby’s Bottom Butter by Moondance Soaps (local)
- Coconut Oil - Grovia Magic Stick Diaper Balm
- Eco Sprout Bottom Balm
- Grandma El’s
- Earth Mama Angel Baby Bottom Balm
- Thirsties Booty Love
- Motherlove Diaper Rash
